Volunteer for us

"Without our fantastic volunteers who assist our small staff we would be unable to help the vast number of animals who come through our doors - we couldn't be without you"

Why volunteer for us?

  • Enjoy feeling you have made a difference. Be part of a team of people from all different backgrounds brought together by their mutual love of animals.
  • Help care for animals who have been given a second chance of a happy life.
  • Spend time outside doing something you enjoy.
  • Need a veterinary or college placement, work experience or on the D of E scheme?
  • Use your skills (gardening, DIY, baking, admin, fundraising or something we don't know we need yet!) to make a real difference to a small, local charity.

How does volunteering help the Sanctuary?

We couldn't manage without you! The sanctuary has a small staff of 5 who look after 100+ animals on a daily basis. Some require more intensive care than others, sometimes around the clock. Without volunteers these animals would not get the high standard of care that they deserve, and the Sanctuary would not have the funds to deliver that care. The time that our volunteers spend helping the Sanctuary, either on or off site, is greatly appreciated by staff and animals alike.
