Fundraise for us

I wasn't a runner but I decided to join a friend and take part in a sponsored 10k race to raise funds for the Sanctuary. The training was hard but we loved the event and raised hundreds of pounds. I'm now hooked on running!

Thinking of fundraising for us?

There are so many different ways in which you can help us with fundraising. None of them involve cold calling or approaching people in the street, and all of them are fun! So come and join us for:

Events organised by the Sanctuary

Throughout the year we have lots of different fundraising activities including attending events such as the Artisan Markets and Wilmslow Show, having collections at local stores and running our own events like the Annual Fun Day and Halloween in the Spooky Barn. These are all organised by our fundraising Trustee, Celia, but she needs lots of help on the day and volunteers may be asked to run a tombola, supervise children's games, man stalls or sell refreshments. If you would like to get involved in our fundraising activities please email Celia at [email protected].

Selling on eBay

The local community are very generous and donate not only items for the animals, but also clothes, toiletries and household goods, many of which are designer brands and/or new. One amazing volunteer takes responsibility for sorting these donations and then there is a very small team that sells the best of them on eBay. We are always in need of new recruits to the eBay team. It doesn't matter if you have never sold on eBay before as you will be fully trained. All you need is to be moderately good with a computer and to have the time to photograph items, list them and then pack and post them. We have raised over £50,000 through eBay sales and it is so satisfying watching the bidding on an item you have listed. If you would like to join the eBay team please email Celia at [email protected]

Your own fundraising idea

There are so many fun things that you can do to raise money for us! Here are some ideas:

  • organise a cake sale
  • ask for donations rather than birthday gifts
  • do a sponsored walk, cycle ride, run
  • sell unwanted items at a car boot sale
  • host a coffee morning
  • organise a raffle at work

But don't be limited by these ideas, get your thinking cap on and you may just come up with something truly unique. Whatever you decide to do, please let us know so that we can support you and thank you. And if you need to set up an online fundraising page then please click here .....   FUNDRAISE

However you decide to fundraise for us there is one thing you can be certain of, we really appreciate it! Thank you so much.
