We would like to share this lovely fundraiser by our young supporter Charlie. A couple of weeks ago we received a lovely message from Charlie and his mum Amy. Charlie is 8 years old and lives in Buxton. In his lovely message Charlie told us that he came to visit the Sanctuary after a wonderful day out at a local trampoline park. He told us that a nice lady had shown himself and his mum our cats, rabbits, pigs and horses. Charlie also told us that he really likes what we do for the animals. Being a cub in the 3rd Buxton (Harpur Hill) cub pack, for his Challenge Badge he set himself the challenge to raise money for the Sanctuary by selling cakes and doing a sponsored walk. For those that didn’t want to give money Charlie suggested they might like to donate toys or food instead. Yesterday he completed his sponsored walk. As well as donations from a couple of pet shops and Morrisons Charlie has managed to raise a fantastic £157.50!

We would like to say a huge thank you to Charlie for raising money for the Sanctuary. His hard work, and enthusiasm has been heart warming. We look forward to welcoming Charlie and his mum to the Sanctuary in February to receive the donations and we look forward to showing him our animals again. The Sanctuary is very fortunate to have such wonderful supporters like Charlie who help us in a variety of ways. Their contribution is invaluable, we would love to list everyone individually but it would just not be possible so please accept our heartfelt appreciation for everything you do for us. If you would like to take on a challenge or organise your own fundraising initiative, please let us know about your plans so that we can give you all the support you need.
