Rehoming News July 2020 We wanted to share some figures and good news from the sanctuary with you this month. As lockdown eases and we begin to get back to some normality our office begins to get up to speed again and we thought you would be interested in the latest news. 91 animals were cared for by our small staff whilst on lockdown! 16 kittens were born on site to pregnant strays brought to us. 27 animals were rehomed by us during June which is absolutely brilliant news. With a full team effort of staff and rehoming volunteers, we are delighted with the results so far of our modified Covid safe re homing procedure. We must thank in particular our volunteer Elaine who lead the quest to find the very best way of working in these difficult times and with these unique challenges. Thanks must also go to staff member Rachel for co ordinating all vet appointments very efficiently so as to allow these animals to go to new homes as quickly as we could once we were allowed to restart the rehoming. It has been so important to us that finding the best possible homes for our animals has not been compromised and with that in mind our homechecks are as thorough as always, although different. We have embraced technology, book appointments for meeting the animals, and do a socially distant handover when the time comes. All animals we have available for rehoming can be found on our website and social media and these will be kept as up to date as possible. We have a new initial enquiry form https://www.heswilmslow.co.uk/forms/adoption-enquiry-form. which can be completed on line. General enquiries regarding adoptions can also be made on the e mail address [email protected] which has been created for this purpose. Of course you can still telephone us on 01625 520802. Whilst we still cannot accept ad hoc visits to the sanctuary we hope that the new procedures in place still allow us to rescue and rehome as many animals as usual and we look forward to receiving enquiries and making appointments over the coming months.
